Question: Are Roller shutter doors used in a Domestic or Industrial application?
Answer: They can be used in both.

Question: Can you supply push-up, chain operated, crank operated, or electric doors?
Answer: We can supply all of the above.

Question: Are they custom-made to fit my opening?
Answer: All the doors are purpose-made to meet your requirements.

Question: What materials are they made from?
Answer: We manufacture galvanized steel shutters as well as aluminum shutters.

Question: How big or small can I make my door?
Answer: The smallest door we can manufacture is a 1000mm wide x 1000mm high door.
(1 Sq meter). The biggest door we can do is a 6000mm wide x 6000mm high door (36m²).

Question: Do you have different slat designs?
Answer: We have a number of designs - Please refer to Pg 35 in the Technical Manual by double-clicking the specifications tab.

Question: Can the doors withstand high winds?
Answer: Yes, variable side guides, thicker slats and a wind brace would be used, depending on the severity of the winds.

Question: Do you do sectional overhead doors?
Answer: Yes we do - we manufacture them in aluminum and galvanized steel.

TRELLIS DOORS

Question: Are these trellis doors fully framed?
Answer: We manufacture four different types of trellis doors: Multiguard™ (fully-framed), Xpandor+™ (fully-framed), Wave guard (fully-framed), Saftigate™ (no top or bottom track).

Question: Do any of these doors lock without physically having to turn the key - In other words do they have a slamlock facility?
Answer: All the doors come standard with a unique slamlock facility.

Question: What if I don't want a slamlock on my door?
Answer: No problem for us to change the locking mechanism to suit your requirements.

Question: I live on the coast and all my steel furniture and steel windows are rusting, does your product have any protection against rust?
Answer: Yes we do - All our products can be Hot-Dip Galvanized (Anti-rust Zinc) coating that prevents any rust. This will prevent rust, so long as the trellis door/supagate/ supaguards are wiped down with a damp cloth fairly frequently, depending on your location from the sea.

Question: How many times is frequently?
Answer: If you lived on the coast, how often would you wash or wipe down your car because of salt build up? The same goes for your trellis doors.

Question: Can you custom make to fit my strange uneven reveal?
Answer: No problem.

Question: Can you do a special color?
Answer: We have 16 standard colors to choose from but we can match any non-standard color from the Plascon or RAL color chart at an additional cost.

Question: When the doors fold back, how much space of the opening do they take up?
Answer: The Multiguard takes up 20 % of the opening. Xpandor take up 17% of the opening and the Saftidors take up 0% of the opening, as it hinges aside. See Pgs 15 and Pg 22 respectively out of the Technical Manual under the specifications tab.

SUPAGUARD™

Question: Do you custom make Burglar Guards to match my windows?
Answer: We can manufacture any size and shape burglar guard to meet your needs.

Question: Do you have different designs?
Answer: Absolutely check some designs under the super guard and ironcraft sections. Or e-mail us your design.

Question : How are they fitted?
Answer: Adjustable feet are fitted on all four sides of the burglar guard and these are fixed into the reveal. We can also face-fit the guards on all four sides, using adjustable feet. Refer to Pg 42 of the Technical Manual under the specifications tab

Question : What colors do they come in?
Answer: We have 16 standard colors to choose from - See color (swatch), but we can match up any plascon or RAL color.

SUPAGATE™ GATES

Question: What colors do they come in?
Answer: We have 16 standard colors to choose from - See color (swatch), but we can match up any plascon or RAL color.

Question: What lock do you use?
Answer: There are a number of locks one can put on a gate. We have found through our 30 years experience, that a dead lock or Slamlock, both with a double throw facility, are the most secure. For access control, you can use a variety of electric locks or strikes as well as a magnetic lock. Please refer to Pg 38 in the Technical Manual by double-clicking the specifications tab.

DRIVEWAY GATES

Question: Can you make a sliding or swing gate fit my driveway opening?
Answer: We make two stock sizes of swing gates to fit a 3000mm and 3500mm opening. If you require any other size of gate, we can fabricate this for you.

Question: As these are fitted outdoors - will they rust?
Answer: All the gates can be hot-dip galvanized to prevent rust.

Question: Can the swing or sliding gates be automated?
Answer: Absolutely.

Question: Can you make allowances for my sloping driveway?
Answer: Yes
